In the sound of firecrackers, one year old is eliminated, and the spring breeze of the horse year enters Tusu. On the eighth night of the first month of the lunar calendar, nearly 200 alumni of Peking University and friends of Peking University from the Washington DC area gathered at Robert Frost Middle School in Maryland to celebrate the arrival of the Jiawu Year of the Horse with authentic Chinese cuisine and lively singing and dancing.

He Lanjing, a 81-level alumnus of Peking University and deputy consul general of the Chinese Embassy in the United States, Xia Xiangbo, president of the China Association of Colleges and Universities in the Greater Washington Region, and I hope that the honorary chairman of the Chinese School Liang Kangzhi and other representatives from the overseas Chinese community in Washington will come to congratulate and announce the new year Congratulations. Representatives from the alumni associations of Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Beijing Normal University, Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, Jiaotong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Sun Yat-sen University also attended the event. President Bao Yiming also issued certificates to three alumni who have recently joined the ranks of life members of the DC Alumni Association. The venue was crowded with people, laughter, and alumni from various departments talked about repairing the old and took a group photo. Many "gentlemen" in suits and leather shoes took the stage for a group photo in science and engineering; when social science alumni took the stage, young and beautiful "beauties" became the backbone. Time spans several decades, and majors are separated by mountains, but when reunited at overseas Spring Festival gala, the people of Peking University are all one family.

Although there was an episode of temporary changes to the venue before the start of the party, the board of directors actively and unitedly responded to this emergency with an orderly division of labor. Some first arrived at the new venue to arrange layout, some immediately emailed to notify alumni, and some volunteered to stay in the original venue to give directions to late alumni. Needless to say, the people of Peking University have their own tacit understanding; nodding and smiling, team spirit can be seen everywhere.

After the dinner, the Tsinghua Street Dance Team who came to cheer up kicked off the party with the popular street dance "Circus". The host of the party was Yin Hang and Liao Yuanxin, two young alumni of 2007 and 2008, who brought a very confident and calm atmosphere of the new generation to everyone. Alumni Zheng Lixin brought a melodious song and dance "Flying the Earth", and alumni Shen Dayong sang the heroic and sonorous song "The Horse Runs to Protect the Frontier". Immediately afterwards, Huang Snow brought you the famous Peking opera "The Drunken Concubine". The singing voice was vigorous and tactful, the lingering sound was lingering, and the dance was soft and moving, stunning the audience. The Washington DanceLoop dance team joined by alumni Subeibei performed Butterfly Love; Huang Wei and Wang Xiaohong performed the dance "Tibetan Slave Turns Over to Be Master" for the audience. The "Golden Voice" Cinnabar, He Jianhang, and Liao Xin from Peking University brought songs "Historia de un amor", "New Love" and "That Piece of Sea" respectively. They either sang in a low voice or sang in a loud voice. Grade 09 alumni Liu Ji also put on the stage the original song "New Autumn Song" from the Chinese Department. This song is the first time it was shown at Peking University's 129 gala in 2007 and has been widely circulated in all departments of Peking University. The lyrics are clear and beautiful, which touched a generation of Peking University.

There was also a lottery and prize-winning contest between the singing and dancing of the party. The interaction was active and the prizes were also very rich. There were "Swallow Garden Grass and Trees" edited by Xu Zhihong, the former principal of Peking University, Peking University calendar and movie tickets. In addition to the prize-winning guessing activity, the interactive session also included "Super Memory" performed by Huang Duhai alumni and his student Miranda. Miranda, who is only 10 years old, can calculate the day of the week based on the day chosen by the audience, or vice versa, and the calculation is unbiased. Huang Duhai can accurately tell the position of each surname in the surnames. The interactive game of reciting Xu Zhimo's poems in six dialects also aroused applause and laughter from the audience. At the end of the party, alumni Yu Yihua and Zhu Yue performed cross talk "Name Research", which made full jokes about names. In the end, He Shen sang the finale of "Walk A Chance", everyone sang together, and the party ended with laughter and singing.

The event was beautifully run, and the leadership of Peking University Alumni Association Chairman Bao Yiming was indispensable. Under his leadership, the council was mobilized. The new student agent Zhong Yijing and others planned the show; Jiang Yufei, Zhou Tong, Chen Yuhuan and others were responsible for registration; the honorary president Wang Qiyun took the lead in taking out the housekeeping dishes, and the directors responded positively, and cold dishes and desserts were all over the long table. There was also Zhou Gang who was in charge of the venue layout, Hu Xiaohan, Cheng Kejun, and Wei Jun who were in charge of procurement, Li Yan and Li Rui who were in charge of propaganda, and the contributions of many alumni who could not count them all.
