The second Coconut Cup Washington DC Ping-Pong Open was held on March 24th at Maryland Table Tennis Center. Our all-star Beida Team beat the strong opponents and won the 6th place among the 32 teams. Please join us in congratulating our heroes and heroesses—alumni Yirui Mu, Ran Zhang, Jon Liu, and great PUAA-DC friends David Cheung and Kevin Ma—for winning Beida Ren the great honor.
Thanks Mei, Liwei, Ren for the great effort to organize the player team, wholeheartedly appreciate Liwei’s coordinating work for registration, and Mei, Qiyun, Yuechen, and Zhaoyuan’s supporting during Saturday’s tournament which was a whole day event lasted from early morning until 11 pm in the deep night.

With all PUAA-DC big family players and supporter’s hard work, we together have achieved a better result than that of last year—among top 8 teams, we were fighting to beat two stronger teams and lost only to last year champion to be the group runner-up in the morning; and we eventually won the 6th place among 32 teams of thie Coconut Cup tournament. So we are going to keep our PUAA-DC team in group A position next year since the last two teams will be replaced by top two teams from group B and sincerely hope we will have more skillful, stronger and younger players for even more successful achievement next year.
