PUAA-DC donations to various educational and social causes, ranging in $ amount from hundreds to thousands, are supported by pledges of its individual members and friends as well as proceeds from its collective efforts such as organizing concerts and other cultural activities.

Through these donations, PUAA-DC demonstrates its deep commitment to the development and growth of Peking University and to the exchange and friendship between China and the United States.

2003 Donation to Peking University

PUAA-DC made a donation of $1,000.00 to Peking University to support fight against SARS. In addition, many PUAA-DC members also made individual donations.

2002 Donation to Binxian County “Hope” Schools, Shanxi Province

PUAA-DC made a donation of $3,750.00 to Binxian County “Hope” schools to support more than thirty students to continue their primary education. These students were at the risk of dropping out of school due to financial difficulties at home.

2001 Donation to Victims of 9.11 in New York City

PUAA-DC made a donation of $4,000.00 through Chinese Christian Herald Crusades to families of two victims of 9.11 in New York City, Mr. Ji Zheng and Weibin Wang.

2000 Donation to Victims of Earthquake in Taiwan

PUAA-DC made a donation of $1,000.00 to Chinese Red Cross for the relief effort to victims of earthquake in Taiwan. In addition, many PUAA-DC members also made individual donations.

1998 Donation to Victims of Flood in Mainland, China

PUAA-DC donated $500.00 to Chinese Red Cross for the relief effort to flood victims in southern China. In addition, many PUAA-DC members also made individual donations.
